E3 Recap – Microsoft

This year at E3, Microsoft chose to focus on the thing they needed to focus on: games. Overall, they premiered over 19 games in total. In order, they are:

  • Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
  • Max: Course of Brotherhood
  • Dark Souls 2
  • Ryse: Son of Rome
  • Killer Instinct
  • Sunset Overdrive
  • Forza 5
  • Minecraft: Xbox One Edition
  • Quantum Break
  • D4
  • Project Spark
  • Crinsom Dragon
  • Dead Rising 3
  • Witcher 3
  • Battlefield 4
  • What Lies Below
  • Halo (5 I assume)
  • Titanfall

While Microsoft had some laughably bad techincal problems with Crimson Dragon and Battlefield 4, they responded well to fan feedback and chose to focus on games.

Alongside these new games, Microsoft announced that Xbox Live gold members will be able to download Assassin’s Creed 2 and Halo 3 for free off of Xbox Live onto their Xbox 360s. They also stated a release date for November 2013 for the Xbox One.

Besides a few issues, I think Microsoft did okay this year. While I hope that MGSV, Killer Instinct, Project Spark, and Titanfall aren’t going to be exclusives, we’ll have to wait for the Sony conference for a chance of any further detail.
