Hey guys. I know it’s been a while, but I’ve been pretty sick so I’ve been forced to lay around for a while. While laying around I found this neat little game called Unturned on Steam. Seeing it at the low low price of free, I decided to try it out and got more than I bargained for.
Unturned is a PC game marketed as “Minecraft meets DayZ,” which is surprisingly accurate. The main draw of the game is trying to survive a zombie apocalypse while searching for food and water. While single player is challenging, the game still retains its difficulty somewhat even if you play multiplayer. Most of your supplies are scavenged, but a huge crafting system allows you to make new items. Resource management and rationing are a big part of the game, and if you don’t learn either, you’re not going to survive long.
While the graphics are complete dick, the light effects aren’t too horrible and it still runs quite well on older PCs, meaning that you guys should try it out at least once. I’ve been playing it for about 4 days now and it’s a solid free game, but going multiplayer bumps up the fun astronomically. Just watch out though; the game is still in development, meaning there can be some glitches every once in a while. Still, it’s worth checking out. It’s free, so you’re not losing much.
Oh, watch out for tall grass. Fucking crawlers will get you for sure in there.
